Bush Medicine Plants of the Illawarra book design

‘Bush Medicine Plants of the Illawarra’ is designed as an appreciation of the medical value plants gave the indigenous people of Australia (and elsewhere), and how plants have been extensively studied for medicinal use in today’s world.

It is worth remembering that approximately 25% of all pharmaceutical products worldwide have originated from traditional medical knowledge. In short, the plant science of traditional peoples everywhere has made a significant contribution to our health today.

Working closely with the authors and Landcare Illawarra on the design and production of the book, the design was kept clean with focus on the photography and medicinal plant information.
